Good value, minor activation hiccup

I purchased the Annual Subscription for AdBlocker Ultimate, mainly for the Multi-device License feature. Setting it up on my laptop and phone was straightforward, and it has done a good job blocking most ads, including YouTube Ad Blocker. I did have a small issue activating it on my work computer; the license key initially gave an error. Customer service was responsive and helped me fix it after about an hour. The price was fair for what you get, especially with the discount I found. Overall, a solid product, just wish the activation process was a bit smoother across all devices from the start.

Reliable ad blocking experience

This is my third time renewing my AdBlocker Ultimate subscription, this time for the Family Protection Plan. I've been using their product for a few years now, starting with the Windows version, and it's consistently reliable. Blocking ads and trackers works great, and I haven't noticed any significant slowdowns. The consistency is what keeps me coming back; I know what to expect. My kids are online a lot, so having the malware protection across all our devices is a big plus. It's just a dependable service that does what it says.

Works well for browsers

I got AdBlocker Ultimate for Chrome. Installation was quick, and it blocks ads on most sites. Pop-up Blocker works as promised. No issues so far, happy with the purchase.

Hey, thinking about grabbing AdBlocker Ultimate. Does the Windows version block ads in like, all my apps, or just browsers?

R Ryan 2 months ago
Nah, it's mostly browser stuff. I mean, the dedicated Windows app *can* do system-wide blocking, but it's not the same as just the browser extension.

Yeah, if you get the full Windows software, it does more than just the browser. It's supposed to handle ads across your system, not just Chrome or whatever.

How does AdBlocker Ultimate compare to AdBlock Plus? Is it actually better or just another option?

A Anna 2 months ago
In my experience, ABU is way more aggressive with blocking. ABP sometimes lets stuff through.

I switched from ABP to ABU and noticed a huge difference, especially with YouTube ads. Definitely feels more comprehensive.

Anyone know if AdBlocker Ultimate is cool with renewals? Like, if I've already got a subscription, can I use a coupon code to get a discount on my next year?

N Nina Doyle 2 months ago
I tried that once, didn't work for me. Afaik, coupons are mostly for new premium purchases.

Yeah, pretty sure discounts are usually for new licenses only. They don't typically let you apply them to renewals.

Hey, I'm a student. Do they have any kind of student discount for AdBlocker Ultimate?

D Dan 2 months ago
I've seen them offer student discounts around 'back to school' time, but it's not always active. Check their site during those periods.

Yeah, they do occasionally! Keep an eye on their promotions page or sign up for their newsletter, that's how I found out about it last year.

Does anyone know how many devices I can actually use with one license? Trying to figure out if I need to buy multiple for my family.

R Renee 2 months ago
It depends on the license you buy. Some are single device, others are multi. Check the product page for the specific one you're looking at.

My family plan covers like 5 devices, I think. You gotta make sure to get the right package when you buy it.
